New Roots in Minnesota
Our restaurant owners, Yussuf and Ifrah Shafie, are excited about the opening of Tawakal Restaurant in the fall of 2012. We have been in Kenya, East Africa for generations, but uprooted ourselves to Burnsville, Minnesota, in 2001.

We have more than 10 years of experience, and our new venture centered on great food is bringing our family together again. We are the first East African restaurant in the area, and we hope that you will enjoy our friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
